Hohohoho indeed. Mari also filled out the form, so if she's okay with it, I could always send her a physical one intended for you and have her forward it. Otherwise, digital.
HEHEHEHE. It's okay! The essay isn't required. I'M NOT THAT CRUEL. I think only 1 out of 5 people wrote a 5-paragraph response. If 5 lines count, then two people did. I'll share. *3*
"24 hours to midnight This was the day when it was going to end. What will ensue will devastate so many. The world as we know it will never be the same anymore. The death of the internet will transform it forever. The mastermind behind the plan - (mysterious person) - made final adjustments. Then, gently stroking their white cat, ordered: ""It's time to start.""
13 hours to midnight (Mysterious person) knew that very few - if anyone at all - would understand. Yet, it had to happen. The times changed. It was no good to try and hold them back with artificial means. To stagnate was to die. And the world has become so ugly. This was the cure. The only reason they did it. To get rich, of course.
7 hours to midnight Everything was proceeding according to the plan. The minions followed their instructions well. (Mysterious person) was pleased. The care they put into choosing them, the long hours spent on interviews and case studies definitely paid off. (Mysterious person) cackled [madly, of course]. Some cats just like to watch the world burn.
12 minutes to midnight So this was it, then. The end of the internet. Slouching in their comfy chair, (mysterious person) watched and waited for the world to end. It was mere minutes now. Their thoughts briefly wandered to their own time on the internet [the best way to destroy something is from the inside, after all] - yes, they had to admit they understood why some would give into the charms of the internet - the friends, the fandoms, the pleasant- ... No. They can't lose focus now. (Mysterious person)'s face got serious. This was the moment they worked towards for so long.
20 seconds to midnight ""20, 19, 18,..."" the seconds towards the end of the world were passing quickly... (Mysterious person) was counting them down: ""17, 16, GARHESGUUUU-"" something was wrong. Suddenly, they couldn't breathe. What was going on? Was it a betrayal? (Mysterious person) tried to imagine the faces of all who knew, in a last attempt to identify the traitor.... it was no use. The end was too close. Their end. With their last breath, Camaron whispered: ""I am sorry. I never thought it'd go like this.... I am so sorry for trolling your lovely postcard survey, Plot."" Then it was all over.
