I haven't written a journal entry longer than a paragraph in a while.
I slept a lot. I went to Old Sacramento with friends yesterday and had to get up around 6 AM (though I woke up at 5 something at first before dozing off), left the house a little before 7 AM, and didn't come back home until around 11:30 pm. I went to bed before 1 AM and didn't properly get up until now, haha...ha...
I'm too lazy to actually write about it in much detail, but we went there for a ninja-themed photo scavenger hunt. We got kind of lazy halfway through and didn't finish the last task, fff. Thankfully we had a local with us because otherwise we wouldn't have found a number of things. There were a couple of ninjas that we had to avoid, so we ran away from them even though all they could do was walk after us, hahaha. The tasks were called missions and the hardest one had to be photobombing another team. Origami Cyclone, your work is not to be underestimated... My favorite was probably the Great Ninja Showdown, which was basically us throwing balls at each other. I'm not sure I'd go again since it's so far away (about 2 hours?) and originally required payment for participation and one of the participation prizes was a coupon for a free small froyo or a cupcake, and it was only redeemable at a specific local bakery. While I don't really mind since we wound up not having to pay and they still gave us something, it's more of a bonus for locals since it'd be out of our way. Yes, this counts as not going at length.
What else, what else. We went to a fish store called Exotic Aquarium to meet up with a friend's friend. So many different kinds of fish. Many of them seemed to favor corners. I started feeling a little left out at some point because our group became odd-numbered and we separated into smaller groups. It's kind of rare nowadays for me to feel that way, so I think it's because I've only met my friend's friend maybe twice, meaning that "comfortable silence" hasn't developed. Instead I felt more third wheeley. ... Or maybe it's because we were at a fish place. I don't really go to pet stores. :|a I have a complex about third wheeling that developed in maybe middle school (might have unconsciously originated in elementary school), so it's not something I've completely gotten over. Whoa, let's not get serious here.
Besides that, we went to Bambu where I promptly finished my grass jelly milk tea—I think my go-to is jasmine milk tea with grass jelly, and now ordering that confirmed that it needs to be with jasmine milk tea. I'm not picky about milk tea (or maybe I haven't had any I disliked), but I want to keep that preference in mind.
Following the dessert trip, we saw my friend's friend's company. It was really, really nice. They had like four small rooms dedicated to gaming with different colored walls and furniture, a kitchen with two fridges, two vending machines that dispensed items at no charge, an arcade machine with thousands of games that also required absolutely no payment, a pingpong table with an ball-shooting machine, and nerf guns. Oh, and there was this area in the middle of the office with pillows and beanbag chairs (?) piled atop of each other. NO OTHER PLACE WILL EVER COMPARE........ unless I visit a huge company one day. Her company specializes in producing MMORPGs.
Somewhat related, going into the restroom before leaving her workplace made me see why my mom is always tsking about my scalp since I'm starting to thin up there for some reason, particularly the front. I became really, really self-conscious during the rest of the trip. ;_____; After that, we walked around the mall a bit where I continued thinking about switching shampoos, getting a haircut (maybe short hair will stress my scalp less), and massaging salt into my scalp, etc. Even if we didn't look at much besides Sephora and the Disney store, it's always disappointing to be distracted when you're out with people.
Our last stop was chilling at her place, where we saw one of her birds attempt to break out of a cage by gnawing at ties and shower curtain rings. Pretty smart bird! He's destroyed wood before too with that beak. We were probably there for almost an hour? Another friend's boyfriend was also nursing his swollen ankle at the time. He sprained it while playing basketball about a week ago. She offered us some posters, and I took the one with Link in it since I thought a RL friend might appreciate it, assuming I can meet up with her again. Last I spoke to her, she went to Arizona for optometry school.
Before returning to SJ proper, we ate at Sonic. It was pretty good! Besides one time with a friend, I still have yet to see anyone screw up a burger. This was the first time I saw a fast food chain offer tater tots. Then we drove (okay, I didn't drive) back home. The end.

Yeah, I usually don't have much to write about, but I figured this might be worth documenting. Hmm, maybe I should've written about my volunteer experience since it might help in the future. WHY DO I READILY WRITE ABOUT MEMORIES THAT HAVE NO RELEVANCE TO MY CAREER PROSPECTS.........
What have you been up to??

Maybe Mari can take you next time! To be honest, I'm not sure how common they are in the area. Riva mentioned Sonic waaay back one time when talking to Siren, but I had never heard of it before because the closest one to my city is in Hayward. /randomly talks about NorCal cities and feeds you tater tots

Hmmm, maybe... All I know is that apparently there's like only 1 in NJ and it's over an hour away...
